I just recently upgraded my sound card. The problem with it is, when i dont have my headphones on and the sounds are coming from my speakers it sounds like they are blowing up. It's not feedback. its almost like weird static booms..im not quite sure what could be causing this.

Sounds like they are connected incorrectly. Check the connections on the back of the PC. If all ok then let us know what sound card/speakers/system you got

is your sound card right next to the modem or ethernet card?
try and keep an empty slot between them.
My speakers are connected correctly. My mobo has an integrated LAN slot so i dont have an ethernet card. My speaker are Labtec 2.1...im not sure what model but they are about three-four years old. My sound card is the Audigy 2 value.
