Hey, well im new to the forums and ive been reading up and you guys seem to know a lot so i have a few questions... So i have the x800 xl and i just installed it yesterday, its a great card and all but something is not right.... So i know you are all going to laugh but i play Medal of honor allied assault a lot... (MOHAA) and its pretty low end low requirements even to have it all on highest so i was wondering... Why the hell am i only getting 200-300 fps? and sometimes its even lower like 150... ive seen it go as low as freakin 90fps! I talked to a few other people and they have half the system i have and get 400 or 500 fps and they have radeon cards... So i was wondering did i install it wrong? I used to have the radeon X300 and i uninstalled all the drivers and the device itself from device manager before installing the x800 xl... I have the catalyst drivers installed v5.8, and sometimes some of my games such as far cry, doom 3 and world of warcraft are kinda "Slow" or choppy... So here are my system specs... please anyone help me...

Win xp Home media edition 2005
P4 840 D...(3.2ghz Dual processors)
800mhz FSB 2x 1MB L2 cache
1GB PC4200 DDR2
250HD 7200rpm
Radeon X800 XL 256mb PCI-E
Catalyst drivers 5.8
Direct X 9c

Any tips or suggestions will help im really curious why my fps would be so low? Maybe i installed it in the wrong PCI slot... But im not sure my computer is a sony vaio and is brand new.. i just bought it like a week or 2 ago did some upgrades though, and well if i cant fix this, is there a good tweaking guide out there for this card? or should i flash it? or OC it? and if i Overclock it(Which im scared as hell to do..) what settings should i use or is there a guide? Thanks everyone for your help...

Oh, btw... im very computer literate so i should be able to fix this but i just dont know what to do because ive never had a PCI-E 16x card before. Thanks in advance.

First of all there no way in hell you could tell the difference between 200fps and 400 fps so I would not worry about it. If you want to test if your video card running right you either need to play a new game that acturally test the video card or benchmark it with 3dmark and compare it to other systems like your.

Lol yea i know you wont be able to "See" the difference but i just want it to be running at that speed... just for kickz :laugh:... but anyways how do i benchmark my card? what program or site do i go to? And another thing if it really is working fine do you know a good guide and program for tweaking and overclocking? Thanks for your help in advance.
