Each time I shut down windows 2000, I get the screen that says it is now safe to shut off your computer. I was wondering if there is a control panel setting that I can change to make my computer shut down without just going to that screen.

Um... I never knew Win2K had a screen like that?

Make sure that APM (Advanced Power Management) is enabled in your BIOS.
