Problems installing my Sapphire Radeon x700 pro HELP!?

Hi im new here and i just bought a new pc, here is my setup:
Asus K8V SE Deluxe
Amd 64 3000+ (2.0ghz)
corsair valueselect 184-pin unbuffered ddr-dimm 512 mb
sapphire radeon x700 pro
maxtor 120gb ide harddrive
sony dvdrw-+

i installed everything without any problems, but then i tried to install my driver software for my radeon x700 pro videocard and it all seemed to be fine untill i rebooted after installing the driver along with its software (catalyst control center) then when windows logs in it my screen just freezes up or at the time it enters windows or when i start catalyst control center or my monitor simply wont get an signal. :4-dontkno and i tryed to install the newest driver from the internet and tryed to reinstall a couple of times but it comes up with the same problem time after time

really need help lol

Hi,

Here is what I would take a look at. First of all, you need to take a look at any BIOS updates to check and see if there are any issues addressed in any update. If there are any issues related to the video cards, then you need to update the BIOS.

The other thing you might want to look at is using the Omega ATI drivers in place of the regular ATI drivers. There have been some driver issues with the Sapphire drivers. Take a check here:

heres what you do... slowly tap the card in your computer with a hammer.. beating very lightly around the edges.. should be fine
