problems at startup and java vm

1227 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  SPEEDO
I recently had to format my harddrive and reinstall xp. Well, now when I boot it gives me the option of running two versions of xp with a timer ticking away. How do I make it so that the computer sees only the current version of xp I am running and skip that step in booting up?

Then, after installing xp again I am informed that I don't have java vm installed whennever I try to play any Yahoo games and such. Windows update tells me that this update is no longer available for xp.....what do I do?
