Ok when i run a ethernet cord directly to my computer i can connect to the internet no problem but when i go to connect through one of my wired routers (Linksys WRH54G or D-Link DI-604) it says "connecting through PPoE port" and never goes further. I have all my network adapters drivers up to date and would really appreciate some help with this issue.

Reset the router to factory defaults and try again.

Let's see this when connected directly to the Speedstream.

Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
