Problem with Sitecom wl-130 extender

Hello

I am having a problem with my Sitecom WL-130 Wireless range extender as follows:

It started a few days ago and for some reason the when i was playing my xbox 360 it would come up "Disconnected form xbox live" then when i went to the xbox 360 network screen then went to the settings it was still connected to the Sitecom WL-130 but there was a problem with the IP address so then i went onto my laptop and it it said that it was 'Local only' and not 'Local and Internet' which it normally would say.

So i then disconnected the power foem the Sitecom WL-130 and waited approx 10 seconds then plugged it back in and then it worked fine for a couple of hours and then it would do the same all over again and i have had to do this a few times and it is rather annoying.

If anyone could Pease help me with problem it would be very much appreciated :smile: thanks

Some things you can try here.

  1. For wireless connections, change the channel on the router, I like channels 1, 6, and 11 in the US.
  2. Update the firmware to the latest version available on the manufacturer's site.
  3. Reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure.

Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.


My top suspect in these scenarios is usually P2P applications, running, they can bring a lot of routers to their knees.
