Method 1: Reregister Jscript.dll and Vbscript.dll
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then click OK.
3. Click OK.
4. Click Start, and then click Run.
5. In the Open box, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then click OK.
6. Click OK.

tried this and got no problems. so i tried this
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type msconfig, and then click OK.
3. Click Expand File.
4. In the File to restore box, type the name of the file that you want to restore.
5. In the Restore from box, type the path of the Windows XP .cab file where you want to restore the file, or click Browse From to locate the Windows XP .cab file.

Note The Windows XP .cab files are stored in the I386 folder on the Windows XP CD.
6. In the Save file in box, type the path where you want to extract the new file, or click Browse To to locate the folder that you want.
7. Click Expand.
8. In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click OK. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.
but i dont know what files i need to resore

must have somthin to do with activex. cos wen i try to reinstall directx or wmp10 it says
Your current browser cannot run the ActiveX control required by the genuine Windows validation process.
Let's try validating a different way:

Click Validate Now to run the genuine Windows validation application.
When prompted, click Open or Run this program from its current location.

Validate Now
then crashes out

Don't worry about that part if the first part ran successfully. Just continue with Method #2.

You may want to go to Start, Run, and type sfc /scannow.
working now i did the both parts click ok. and then reinstalled wmp and its working

Firefox

.

OK... I got the problem with the "Not able to open direct show player" error fixed! THANX ALL!

Now the player loads and I press play and it sez "loading media". Then a winodow opens that sez "windows/system32/quartz.dll is not a valid windows image"

What should I do now?

wake

PS I am using firefox 1.0.7 browser
