I am having problems with sending an email with an attachment from My Documents using OE. If I open OE and create mail, then attach file, I can successfully send the email. If I highlight a file in My Documents and use the option available "email this file", the email will not go thru, even though OE goes thru the motions of showing the "sent mail" bar. I notice also when I choose to use the latter option, the file size is reduced by one quarter. For example, I wanted to send a 24kb Word doc file and it became 18kb and the email did not successfully arrive at its destination. I know the first option works, but my wife, who uses computers but needs the procedure simple, wants to use the latter to send her completed word files to another destination for printing of those documents. Help please.

Go to email look for tools up top, go to options, then select the security
tab, uncheck the attachments box. Microsoft is trying to save you from
yourself, because alot of bugs come from attachments....

Manic, thanks for responding but I am still having the problem. First, the box to send the attachment that opens when I select "email this file" from the choices in My Documents (after I highlight the file I want to send) apparently is an Outlook Express box but there is no options box under tools and in fact there is no options box anywhere. I then went and opened the "regular" Outlook Express from inside the IE browser and there I found the options and security tab. The only box checked there was "Block images and other external content in HTML email", which I went ahead and unchecked but to no avail. Still weird in that the size of the attached file is one quarter smaller than the file itself-I don't understand that. When I "send" the message and attachment from the My Documents popup, the outlook send bar appears and completes but no mail is received.
