I had a virus on my laptop but I used SuperAntiSpyware to remove it. I'm almost positive it is completely removed. However, I think the virus may have damaged my laptop. Some of the symptoms are: USB ports not reading what I plug in no matter the cable or device, an occasional blue screen error message that forces me to manually restart the computer, Random programs not starting up (Cubase), and a Desktop error message as soon as the laptop reboots saying that a file from a folder that is in the "registry" is missing. All of these started occurring around the same time about two weeks ago. Any help would be much appreciated!

Most likely an aftermath of a virus attack , select ctrl + r

type in cmd

inside type : chkdsk /r then

when it asks you to force dismount select y and press enter
Restart your laptop,

after chkdsk you should be able to go back into windows.

Go to Start > programs > accessories > right click cmd , run as administrator,

type in sfc /scannow , let it load.
Restart your laptop.

After doing chkdsk it says "cannot open volume for direct access" then I ran the sfc/scannow (twice) and it said I have a corrupt file in my logs under "CBS". I went and looked and that file is completely empty. So I tried sending the file to recycling bin and that didn't do anything. Then I even tried removing the file completely. That didn't do anything either.

I have already mentioned that you would run into the error when you ran chkdsk

it would ask you if you want to run the chkdsk nxt time you restart , you need

to press y , then restart your pc , it will automatically do a chkdsk (light blue

screen before windows loads)
