when i try to install my new video card (agp geforece 6800 xt) i connect the device then turn on my computer it emits a high pitched beep then eventually goes into the ram failure neener (is that the technical term?) that sounds like a police car :) .

the mother board led shows what i think is L0 od LD and i have to turn off the computer.

is it because my motherboard cant take it? if so i will be upgrading soon so ill just wait till then but i just want to make sure its not a problem with the card, when i put my old card in it runs fine.

thanks for any help and if you need anymore information let me know.

This may sound dumb, but did you connect the power to the card as well? What are the specs on your PSU? There should be a sticker on the side that tells you.
