after fixing a problem with my motherboard (i bought a new Asus P4P800 Deluxe), and buying a new S-ATA harddrive i am now faced with the task of reinstalling windows on my system....however....

my computer just won't boot from the windows xp cd i have....
the blue screen with "Windows XP Setup" loads and then freezes (normally there is text at the bottom of the screen saying "loading files...etc" but this does not appear at all

I thought at first it might be a cd-rom problem, but i bought a new LG 52x52x24x16 combo drive :D, and still the same problem

Now...i used this cd to install XP many times, and i've never had a problem before...

also, the system will boot off my old windows 98 cd and my windows 2000 cd...but NOT the XP.....any ideas?
