Well, I have a linksys router with 3 computers hardwired and one printer and 2-3 wireless. the printer is an HP Photosmart c7280. When I install the printer into the network and try and print from a hardwired computer, it never works. But when I try and do so wireless it works fine. The printer Ip or something is constantly changing and whenever I need to print wired, I must re-search for the printer and go through a whole thing that takes about 30 mins.

what I need help with is how can I avoid this and set it so the printer will work wired.

note: I know the printer can not be wired and wireless. I have tried disabling wireless same no results.

Please help me out.

Set the IP address statically beyond the range of your DHCP scope but still on the same sub net.
