Printer printing mysterious lines exactly 3.5 inches down the print? It's like 1/2 inch thick of distortion the runs horizontally the entire image.

It just started this yesterday.
It does it on all images I try to print.
I reseated ram in printer.
Power is on a UPS.. all good there.
Direct to LPT1- 6 foot cord- no conflicts.
Printed with both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe reader.. same thing.
Cleared all temp files.
Tried same prints on a different logon/ same results.
Tried all new different cartridges - primed well.

The printer is an HP 488ca 24" wide format printer..
Anyone ever seen something similiar.

As a new tech I have run into all sorts of freak printer problems. I have always somehow found answers through google. Try this site- - - http://www.printertechs.com/tech/print-defects/print-defects-index.php
