OK, I know very little about computers, so I'll try. My [HP Pavillion 752n] computer sat dormant for several days in hot, humid conditions following a hurricane. Now, it won't work. It will boot up, but the Net Bios screen reads "Primary Master - has some #s adn stuff." Primary Slave - None. It won't reboot off any recovery CD's - it just says "0" for adapti and "0" for boot record. When I checked the physical drive, the slave ribbon is all curled up and buckled. Is it supposed to look like that? Is it dead beyond repair? Worth fooling with? Respond in plain language, please! Any help appreciated!!

It almost sound like a connection problem. Since you stated that there was high heat and humidity, corrosion could be a factor. try and reseat the ribbon cable connections. If there are any signs of corrosion, replace the cables. Also check all the PSU connections.
