I just recieved my Inspirion 1000 back from Dell. They seem to have done a good job and I had it back in about 3 days. For the longest time I had to jiggle the power adapter on the back of the computer to get it charged up.... highly annoying. They replaced the motherboard.

What caused this to happen?

Any ideas on how I may take better care of it and avoid this in the future?

I use my computer in my 18-wheeler and use a typical cheap inverter for my 120 volts. Does a laptop require a more forgiving and massaging power source?

Thanks in advance.
