Hi, In Xp i know you can empty out the prefetch folder which gets rid of a lot of useless junk, so my am asking for a friend who has a very slow old pc, if there is a prefetch folder in Windows 98 can he empty out that folder ?
any other sugestions that may move his pc along a little faster woulb be appreciated,

On Windows 95/98/ME/2000...there is no Prefetch folder. Only XP and above have this function. CCleaner or Cleanup will clear out TEMP folders, Cookies, Most Recently Type Urls...ect.
