Hello:

Can someone recommend me a good power supply brand and model?

I have been buying crappy brands (AXIS brand) and it's time to buy a good and reliable one that can support the following equipment:

- 1 Intel dual core E2200 2.20GHZ CPU
- 1 CPU Cooling Fan
- 1 Foxconn G31MV-K Motherboard
- 2GB RAM (2 DDR2 memory sticks)
- 1 80GB Seagate IDE HDD
- 1 500GB Western Digital SATA HDD
- 1 HP CD Writer
- 1 HP CD/DVD Writer
- 1 USB HP All in One Printer
- 1 External USB WD 320GB HDD
- 1 USB webcam
- 1 USB Mouse
- 1 PS/2 Keyboard
- 1 Floppy Drive
- 1 Acer Monitor

Maybe in a future I will purchase a video card.

Thanks and any advise is greatly appreciated.

*Without* a graphics card something like a SeaSonic 300W or 350W would power that with ease. As for the graphics card, that depends on what graphics card you get. A Corsair TX650W will power any single GPU setup and many dual card setups with power to spare. Right now the Antec TruePower New Blue 750W is on sale at newegg.com for $70 after rebates, which is an amazing deal.

If you want really top-notch quality look at the SeaSonic M12D and X series PSUs and the Corsair HX series.

Good quality PSU's are expensive because they use high quality reliable parts to insure your hardware receives ample clean power. A quality PSU should be your first consideration when upgrading.
There is no such thing as too much power.
