power light on .cooling fan runs 15 seconds. no post but power light on
Have a problem hope some one can direct me to a fix. I have a Toshiba P15-S479 lab top, I have been having trouble with the dc power were it goes in to the lab top. I all on my own decided to remove the receptacle off the board and hard wire the dc power cord to the mother board. All went well reassembled the laptop and plugged in the dc power no power . I checked the power supply and it was putting out 15.6 volts which after looking at the input needed for the unit was 19.0 volts. I found the old power supply and spliced it in and had power. Power light came on. Hard drive light went on then off and the cpu cooling fan came on when the power button was pushed and then went off . then nothing power light still on but no post or any kind of beeps or noise. I tuned off the power and flip the unit over and reset the mem, hard drive and video card. Still the same power comes on, cooling fan runs for 15 seconds then nothing with power light still on no post . It does charge the Batt.:4-dontkno
