Possible CPU or RAM bad???
I am setting up a new computer.
Yesterday was installing the OS and it kept locking up or Blue Screening before it even started the real install.
I figured reflashing BIOS would be a plus.... so I did so. It locked up and ruined the motherboard.
New Motherboard..... installing the OS.... same problem.
If installing XP.. it says "can't copy XXXXXXXXX file"... on various files... I can hit enter to retry.. and sometimes it copies it.... then eventually it gets stucks on a file and retry does not work.
I've taken out everything but the same harddrive... RAM... and CPU..
If I move the HardDrive to my computer, it installs fine.... so it isn't the HD. With the OS installed from my computer... and putting the HD in the new one, it blue screens shortly after the splash screen.
So.... what do we think it is?
The RAM?
The CPU?
