Hello. First post so please take it easy on me
My network is setup like this.
*modem* - Dlink Voip Gateway/Router - Netgear Wireless/4 port Router - 10 port switch - computers
As it currently sits, the Gateway creates a network of 192.168.15.1.
That gives the Netgear Router an IP of 192.168.15.x.
Then the Netgear router creates another network of 192.168.1.x and the 10 port switch plugs into that to provide all of our computers in the house, both wired and wireless with network connectivity.
Now my problem is that i dont know how to forward the ports in the gateway. because its on two different ip ranges, how should i go about doing this?
Does the port get forwarded to MY ip? or to the netgear routers IP?
Ive opened the ports to MY ip, then went to SheildsUp! to determine if they were actually open or not, but they came back as "stealth"
So what gives? does anyone have an answer for me?
Thank you
Ben
