Here's my problem. I have a e6320 that runs fine up to 2.2 ghz. Anything above that and i get poor performance but not all the time. At the minute it is at 3.2 ghz.
If i run 3d mark o6 i get low fps but when i turn the computer off completly (at the wall) and power it up again, run 3d mark, i get good fps. Then i can reboot, run it again and it's back running poorly again.
I hope someone can help me as this is very annoying and i want to play crysis on a decent setting.

I have uploaded some screens from my bios.
I tested it with orthos for a few hours.

This problem is a little annoying to say the least.

I'm new to this overclocking as you've probabily guessed. I have the basic principle. Anyway, I have changed a couple of things. What do you reckon?

Done the memory voltage @2.25 as it wouldn't let me do 2.2. Here's the cpu-z thing.

Well..I have my sound back. My sound card was playing up a bit but it seems good now. that can be a good thing. I'll run 3d mark in a min.

Just done the super pi thing and i'll try fraps in a bit(never used either before).
Is there anything else i need to set on the mobo do you think?

Between 15-20 fps crysis on high and 2-10 fps on very high. Flight sim funs bad and it used to be good.

drop down to / two matching one gig sticks of ram and try that ?

When i do that my pc gets to the loading screen then go's blank. Put it back in. it boots up fine. I'm thinking i may do a fresh install of windows and maybe go back to xp.

i have the first 3 slots filled. when i remove the stick from slot 2, the pc won't get past the boot up screen. In slot 1 and 3 i have crucial ballistix pc 8500 and in slot 2 i have a ocz pc 8500. They're all the same speed and everything. I did remove the ocz one earlier and it all worked fine but my pc was still up to the same tricks eg having good fps untill i reboot then not again unless i cut the power. This is 1 annoying problem.

For some reason my pc will now let me boot with the 2 sticks. on post it says: dual channel interleaved. I take it this is what i want? Or would i be better off with the 3? would i benefit from getting an identical 2 gb kit of what i already have so i have then 4 gb?

Right. I have nothing on auto in my bios and i have my 2 gigs in dual channel.
What a hell of a difference this has made. I'm getting 60 fps on crysis on high. I'm going to try very high.
I just hope i don't get the same problem after i reboot this time lol.

My ocz stick of ram may as well go on ebay now lol.
