Please help.How do i get rid of "mcupdate.exe" ?

You might have to explain it to me like a five year old but any help is much appreciated.

That file keeps your McAfee antivirus up to date. Are you certain you want to be rid of it?

i had the same problem. It is media center update (mcupdate)and i removed it from startup programs using tuneup utilities and now is fine no longer the lag whitch i had on startup or logon.
