:4-dontkno:4-dontknoDifferent Computer. This one is a Compaq Presario SR1650NX. It has:
WinXp Media Center Edition 2005
3500+ AMD Athlon 64 Processor
1GB RAM
250GB HD
DVD-+RW
Integrated ATI RADEON XPRESS 200
HIPRO HP-D3057F3R ATX12V 300W Power Supply 100 - 127V/ 200

When I turn the computer on I can see the fans starting to spin. Sometimes it starts to spin really fast and won't slow down and other times it just starts slow. Either way I don't get anything on the monitor. I've taken RAM out and tried it with one stick and then the other, I've taken the battery out and replace, i've tried the HD on another computer and it works. I don't know what else to do since it won't even let me get into the Bios. Can the MoBo be bad? or could it be the CPU?, the PSU? Does anybody have any suggestions? I appreciate anything anyone can do for me. Thank you.

First is a CMOS reset to get your onboard ATI set back as the default controller. Then you can at least see if you have bios access.

Fans going fast and slow is normal though they do dictate things.
Do you have a speaker on you motherboard or an external one attaced? the pattern of beeps would be helpful if there is anything more than a single beep.

sounds like a defective motherboard often times a cheap power supply will kill the motherboard when its finished

You know I've bought a lot of hard to find older stuff some of it may even be surplus from www.geeks.com

For 939 based boards CLICK HERE

I've bought a lot of stuff from them over the years, they are not a fly by night company. Though the selection of 939 based boards isn't great. Geez if I had one here I'd give it to you and you pay shipping but last one I have I put my old 3500+ i it and sold it to my brother for pennies.
