It restarts when choosing any choise and Windows doesn't want to start.

Do you know what is this problem , please?

* And can you tell me which button in keyboard that let you install a new windows from the CD.

* Because i can't format the windows either , and am putting the windows installation CD in the CD-Drive.

I can't see this message : Press any key to boot from CD...
Shouldn't this message appear when you put the CD.

But only these messages appears of system failed to start.

I already know that when i press Del Button : It shows the Setup menu.
And when i press F8 : It shows please select boot device and shows only 2 which are :

1st FLOPPY DRIVE
Maxtor 6Y080L0

You'll need to go into the setup menu and change the boot order so that your computer tries to boot from your CD Rom first. After you do that, you'll be able to see the "Press any key to boot from CD" message.

Dear Korr
I have made the order like this :

1st Boot Device : CD/DVD
2nd Boot device : CD/DVD or Maxtor
3rd Boot Device : CD/DVD or maxtor or Disabled.

And still these messages of system failed to start shows , and can not bring the " Press any key to boot from CD "message.

Is there anything wrong , or is that what am doing correct or is there another Boot order
I chose Advanced Setup from the menu.
Please help me.

I have done this Korr , but then counts for 10 seconds showing system information says
Press " ESC " to boot

and then after that it brings the messages of system failed to start again.
Do you think there is a problem with the CD-Rom itself?

Hello
I notice another thing now ,
The word CD/DVD in the 1st - 2nd - 3rd Boot Device has been replaced with a different word and it is : LTN52
Could you please tell me what is this? and is there a problem with this?

And after i formatted the Hard Disk , Can you please tell me what order i should make now in Boot Device order .

I current still have it as the CD 1st Boot and disabling the 2nd and 3rd

Thank you very much.

LTN52 is your CD Roms model number. In my experience, when you're changing the boot order and all you see is 'CD ROM' instead of the model number, it usually indicates the the system isn't detecting your drive. Seeing LTN52 is definitely a good thing.

I'd leave your CD as your first boot device and put your harddrive as second. That way you could boot from a CD quickly without having to go back into CMOS and adjust the boot order again.

Disable 2nd and 3rd Boot device and Try.... boot again
I hate to intrude, but I was following this thread as I have the same problem, but this did not work for me. I've tried about everything else I can find. Is there a way I can create a bootable floppy from another PC that has Windows XP Home on it and perhaps use it to boot the infected PC that will not boot?
I know it is eat up with malware, spyware, trojans or something, but can't get to it to work on it. It's a Dell Reinstallation CD, which comes up fine on my laptop, but can't boot to it.

Thanks
Tim
