Please Help For Wireless USB Adapter

Please Help.
I am useing High Power 802.11b/g Wireless USB Adapter( Micromax IR 9287E).
54 Mbps
802.11b/g
High power 1000mw
soft AP
9 dbi Antenna
USB

My Problem is Downloading speed not good. but Signal sterngth: Excellent
Sig. Sterngth:80%
Link Quality:82%

I am useing Internet Download Manager 6.05 but when i am downloading Utorrent Speed:1 or 2 kb/s
www.mediafire.com speed: 30 or 35 kb/s.

Please Help How i can Incerase my downloading speed.

One Information:

Same Place another person use High Power 802.11b/g Wireless USB Adapter.(V tech vt920)

But his Downloading Speed 1 mb/s or 500 kb/s

Please help me.

From what you are describing, it sounds like this is a free (or "free") wireless connection that you are not paying for, so you probably don't know the speeds you should be getting. If that is not the case, feel free to correct me.

In any case, you can try to go into the settings for your wireless card and set the card to use only "g" mode. It is probably in mixed mode (b/g) at the moment. If this does not work, try it in just "b" mode. Depending on the router transmitting the wireless signal, experimenting with this could possibly help you achieve higher download speeds.
