Okay, to the point:
Bought BT Broadband. Got the welcome package, everything is fine.
All set up, the BT Voyager 205 router/modem is all set up.
All BT software installed, broswer etc etc.
BUT
The Modem/router drivers are not installing, and so it wont connect to the internet.
I used a dial up connection to download the latest drivers for my modem/router. I ran the setup.exe, and this is the EXACT message windows comes up with.
Error:
Can't get registry value:
key=Software\BT Voyager 205 ADSL Router\ADSL
value=driverType
Then I have to press OK and nothing happens.
Also, when I try to UNinstall my old BT Voyager 105 Modem, this comes up:
Error:
Can't get regisrty value:
Key=software\GlobespanVirata\ADSL
value=srcPath
I click OK and nothing happens. Untill I install this driver, I cant use my new broadband, And I have 2 hours to fix this before my mums home and kicks my ***, but thats another story.
HELP!
I have Windows XP.
