Sole purpose is to run flight simulator in max resolution without pausing or jerky operation.
I took parts from you $800 and $1200 systems. DVD you suggested is no longer available.
I was afraid of the Corsair memory as there are many reports of bad units. Will my substitute work?
I have an aTX case.
For O/S, I get free Windows XP (sp2) legally from employer. Employer will probably change to 7 next year. Will I have problems with either on this system?
Total price is $890.
Thanks for you help.

Looks goos and Windows 7 will not be a problem.
You won't really need the AC/5 or the Zalman cooler.

My last question, I noticed in reading through the threads in this section is that many manufacturers list compatible components. i.e Motherboard manufactureer list compatable memory and vise-versa. Because the MO and Ram I picked is not listed in each other's site does that mean I can't use it or is it just overlooked.

Mobo listsings for compatible RAM are usually pretty dated and not updated.
G.Skill is good quality RAM. I use it with Asus Mobo's with no issues.
