i am posting this in this section because even though it relates to a console in some ways, it is mostly about PC's

i have always liked the playstation controller, even when they added the dual analog sticks, and the shock feature.
i hate the N64 controller.
i dont get along with the gamecube controller very well.
i dont get along with the xbox controller either, but i am learning to accept it.
i sorta liked the super NES controllers.
i pretty much hated all the other ones, like sega and sega genisis.
i didnt like dreamcast either.

now, to get to the point.

i have seen dozens and dozens of PC controllers that are made to resemble different console controllers, but they arent any good when it comes down to it. So does anyone know of an adapter to plug the real thing into a pc?

if i knew of an adapter to use a playstation controller with my PC i would do nearly anything to get one.

in fact, if someone would know of a way to adapt one i would like the hookup to that info.

even if i had to get out a soldering iron and make a printed circut board.

even if it was as hard as programming some basic stamps.

i will go to nearly any extreme to do this, so if anyone knows anything, please tell me.

and before anyone tries to send me a link to get a controller that is "just like a playstation controller but for the pc!) keep in mind this is not good enough. i have seen them all. i have held them all. i have used almost all of them as well, and they SUCK!

but really, please.

There is a USB converter on Pricewatch for 20 bucks. I have heard good things about them before. They let you connect your Playstation/Playstation 2 controllers to any usb port. The one I found is a Soyo Kiky-joy . It comes with drivers for most new Operating Systems. http://www.sybercom.com listed under input devices.

Hope that will work for ya! (YAAAAY I actually knew the answer to someones question!!!!)

If you have one around, Radio Shack usually has those in stock.
