Well, all u really need is a video card with tv out. Then, you connect a regular tv cable from your video card to the tv and thats it.

Do remember that the video quality of your screen on a TV will be very poor, fine for watching movies, but not nearly good enough to use as a monitor for text based tasks.

You might try connecting a cable between your TV-out port of the video card you don't have and your TV. ATI has several cards with a TV-out jack.

You can get a little converter that takes S-video input and gives SCART output (good as long as you have S-video out!). It looks like the ones that ship with Xboxes but with an additional input. You can also use it to put SCART input into your TV. I got one from my local electrical shop so I assume they're pretty easy to get hold of.
