I have a 20 slot ATX 12v 350w power supply - and my mother board only supports 24slot so can i still put the 20 slot in or do i gotta get a new power supply?

You could put your 20 pin connector into your 24 pin motherboard and it will fire up just align the snap lock and it will be ok

however a 350 watt power supply is VERY under sized to run a more updated motherboard spec (which yours must be or it wouldnt be a 24 pin)

I would look to replace your current PSU with a unit such as the Antec Trio 550 watt

or

Corsair VX-550 watt

Antec Earth watts 500 watt

Corsair HX-520 watt >>>>>>> best one here !
