for some reason a lot of my picture folders and music folders will not show there contents but when i right click on the folder and go to properties it says there is files in there and shows how much space they are using but there just not there? any one know what is going on? i have a lot of pictures and music i don't want to loose. i attached a picture showing one of the folders and the properties next to it showing there is pictures in the folder but i just cannot see them.
there is also a bunch of pictures on my desktop i cannot see but they are there because if i try to put the same picture back on my desktop it says the file already exists would you like to over write it.

Thanks for any help!

hello and welcome to the forum.

Do they appear if you do this:

Show Hidden Files And Folders

  • Click Start
  • Click My Computer
  • On the menu bar click on Tools, and then Folder Options.
  • Click on the tab View
  • Underneath Show Hidden files and folders select Show Hidden files and folders
  • Untick Hide protected operating system files (recommended)
  • Click Apply, then Ok
