Hi again,
I had said before that i was building my own computer and i have been doing pretty good but have now runinto not so much a problem but a question.
I bought a P4 3GHz CPU off ebay (yes i know stupid idea...ebay) and you guys said it would be good for gaming or at least decent.
But when it arrived, it turns out that it wasn't a P4 it was a PD CPU:
Intel Pentiun D
Processor 945+
3.40 GHz
800 MHz FSB
2x2 MB L2 Cache
Is this good for gaming, because if its not then im going to have to send it back to him.
Im pretty sure it was a good price for it:
Its $168.49 dollars US on Newegg
But i only paid $95.00 US on ebay
I was supposed to get this:
Spec Number SL7Z9
Processor Frequency 3 GHz CPUID String 0F43h
Package Type 775 pin PLGA Core Voltage 1.25V-1.388V
Bus Speed 800 MHz Thermal Guideline 84.0W
Core Stepping N0 Thermal Spec 67.7°C
L2 Cache Size 2 MB Manufacturing Technology 90 nm
L2 Cache Speed 3.00 GHz Bus/Core Ratio 15
But i got this:
Core Presler
Multi-Core Dual-Core
Name Pentium D 945
Operating Frequency 3.4GHz
FSB 800MHz
L1 Cache 24KB+32KB
L2 Cache 2 x 2MB
Process Type 65 nm
Vista Ready Yes
64 bit Support Yes
Hyper-Threading Support No
Virtualization Technology Support No
Multimedia Instruction MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3
Voltage 1.225V-1.312V
Should i make a big stink about it or should i just stick with it?:4-dontkno
