Hi, i currently have a XFX8600GT, and i might be getting another one to run together, i am just wanting to know, what will the benefits be and will there be much improvement and what are the Sat's i should be getting after i put both in.

you will probably get a 20-50% increase, if not more. cant really find the charts, but thats about what SLI does for all nvidia cards.

SLI isnt actually as impressive as most people thing. I would sell your current 8600GT and save the money to get the 8800GT. It will outperform both of them in SLI.

HawMan is correct. SLI does NOT double performance, just increases it enough. more of an alternative to get a small upgrade without having to pay for the big guns of video cards.

shot alot guys for your help, well seeing as though im not paying for it, its gonna be a xmas gift, i figured, oh ill do it anyway. im currently running a core 2 duo 2.4 with 3gig mem and terrabyte hard drive, and by xmas i will have 2X xfx8600gt , so my pc should be kick ***.

so basically SLI is like the old vodoo2 graphics cards.. (hey old times, who remembers those badboys hahaha)
