I recently built a computer which has an gigabyte Z68AP-D3 revision one motherboard. it comes with two pci-e x16 slots, one of which is limited to a x4 bandwidth. is there any way of taking this limit off?
No there is not. If your single GPU does not meet your needs upgrade to a better GPU.
Using two costs more, uses more power, generates more unneeded heat in the case and you get a small performance increase in the the few games/apps that can utilize two GPU's.
