pc shut down when i try to install recovery cd

I try to recover my laptop with recovery CD but my laptop shutdown every time goes to 20 or 35% and is not complete the installation any one please can help me with that?

hi fra,

d/load the diagnostic utility for your brand of HDD from the link on my sig. test your HDD first. if your HDD pass the test with flying colors, test your RAM using Memtest86+. do the test before you do recovery.

post back what happens or if you need any assistance.
