Hi all! So my pc does this weird thing where it lags/ hitches when I enter the desktop from starting up the pc. So when I’m moving my mouse around after a few seconds the pc will seemingly freeze or lag. It’s noticeable as my mouse hitches completely. I’ve tried reinstalling drivers, different mice, unplugging the second monitor, changing thermal paste on the CPU. It stops when I’m in safe mode. It’s been happening on two different processors and 2 different GPUs. I’m really stuck as the what it is. Thanks for reading any help is appreciated! I first noticed it when I got my new CPU and then I tried my old CPU and it happened on that one as well. I think it might be a software issue as it doesn't happen in safe mode and when I uninstall the GPU driver it stops. It happens way more when i plug in a second monitor too

If uninstalling driver reverts to on board graphics, then even though you tried a different GPU, the cable or connection to PC might be faulty. Software possibilities would need process of elimination going from Safe Mode to normal.

OK, then using Safe Mode, eliminate groups of apps to narrow down the culprit quickly.
