I have the same problem

Hi,

I have the same problem with the pc crashing without warning. It will either just restart or just go to a blank screen and you have to restart.

Right click on my computer
Select Properties
Go to the Advanced Tab
Go to Startup and Recovery
Click the Settings button
Deselect Automatically Restart

If you can't get it, try this way:
Press F8 while it is booting. When you get your options, scroll down to "Disable automatic restart"
Then, instead of restarting when there is a problem, you will get a blue screen with information on it
Post that info here

DT has given the best advice to stop the Random restarts...but if your computer is restarting like like this then there is a problem definately...I think its related to overheating...Check in the BIOS when it restarts wat are the temps of it coz overheating can damage ur CPU in the long term and will make it slow...

This is the info that was on the blue screen after I checked to not to automaticly restart:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

Driver_irql_not_loss_or_equal

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable Bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

Techincal Information:
Stop: 0x000000D1 (0xFFA3D000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8199B7DE)

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.

Is there more to the message, like a file name
eg
random-file.dll or random-file.sys

How many sticks of RAM do you have. Check Device Manager for errors.
This is generally a driver problem, but could be RAM also

Did you recently add anything?

I haven't added anything. Here is the error from the event viewer.
Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 bfa15238, parameter3 ef67ca78, parameter4 00000000.

I did have another blue screen earlier that had a dll file in it and included about the device drivers. Everything is the device manager seems to the working. I'm adding attachments of the drive info, memory info and cpu info.

if it was nv4-dll or ati-dll then your video drivers are corrupted and need reinstalling
this is the most important part of a bsod error message that's why we ask for it to be posted in full
