PC and Xbox Live...

I have a PC, and got my kids an Xbox 360 for Christmas...

They're both connected to a D-Link DI 604 router...The PC seems to work fine, but when connecting to certain friends online on the 360, the connection can't be made, but if a third party invites the both of them to a game, they can join but can't communicate with each other when playing.

I'm not too good with setting the router properly, and have done many searches on the subject...but come up empty. There must be someone who knows what I'm talking about, and has a efficient solution to this problem. Maybe a link to a tutorial, or simple step by step to setup everything properly.

I'm very frustrated, and would appreciate any help...

Thanks

Well, it sounds like port forwarding on the router is the issue. I don't know anything about the XBOX, and it's going to depend on the specific games you're using I would imagine. Here's a sample of port for some games using a Netgear router, the ports are the same for any router, but obviously the port forwarding instructions would be different.
