Hi ebes322,
Do you have a desktop or laptop computer? Please post your computer specs.
I believe this can be done. I will use my computer as an example. My desktop videocard has both a DVI and HDMI output so I connect my computer monitor to the DVI and HDMI to my Sony LED-TV. The way I made it work is that there is a setting in the videocard program settings(ATI Catalyst) where you can have the exact same screen your looking at on your computer monitor on your TV. Hope I am not confusing you hehehe.
