I need to be able to format a PCMCIA card to about 32 MB and have FAT 16. The cards are used to transfer navigation data to an aircraft system that uses FAT 16 and will not read the PCMCIA card if there are too many clusters.
XP\Administrative Tools\Computer Management\Disk Management\ is greyed out for the PCMCIA and will not allow partitioning the PCMCIA. I tried DOS but FDISK option is not available in XP using RUN CMD.exe.
I Have an old copy of DOS 6.1 but I need DOS drivers for the Texas Instrument XX21-X515 Card Bus Controller to be able to use it.
I can not buy small PCMCIA cards - they are all much larger now days.
I am using a HP nx6120 Notebook.
All suggestions on how to format the cards appreciated.
