well it seems Ive done it again , i had a brilliant idea that if i had a second partition on my hard drive then when i formated or upgraded id still have all my stuff neatly tucked away in my second partition . i have upgraded my windows xp to xpsp2 and now i can see my D: drive and windows sees it too, but we cant access it , its all there , but i just cant use it . I went to command prompt and i can switch to D and see everything. chkdsk said
