hi there,

i dont have sound on my packard bell SJ51 and i follow this instrutions

but doesnt work for me, also i dont have any yellow signs on device manager window.
all drivers instaled and running except audio.
also doesnt apear the som icon on the start/task bar (next to the clock).


OS: Windows XP SP3

Go to the Packard Bell site: Choose your country | Packard Bell
Choose your country, Choose Download center, find your model # and download the Audio driver for your model.

dont have XP drivers only vista.

Open the Device Manager
Right Click on the Device in question
Properties
Details Tab

In XP the VEN_ #### and DEV_ #### is located under Device Instance ID
In Vista and Win7 the VEN_ #### and DEV_#### is located under Hardware ID

in bios make sure audio is enabled.

did you check bios?

yes, its a phoenix type bios V: 1.0F-3221-0010
it doesnt say anything about sound.

done that, it should appear "Audio device on High Def Bus" (UAA) to instal manually.

done that to, it says the SP3 of xp all ready have the UAA so its kinda annoying the loops this laptop make in my head.

Considering your showing me what I imagine is Spanish and I neither read or speak it how can I tell you, sound which if your not seeing it you need to click on view then hidden devices and try what has been asked
