OK, I know this computer is old, but my kids were playing on it and some how erased some system files. Anyways, when I re-booted, it came to the error - invalid system disk screen. So I inserted a Win XP cd into the cd-rom but to no avail. It didn't read it nor recognize it. I went into BIOS and seen what the settings were but the only hardware recognized was the floppy drive and the HDD. It won't take the cd, but I also know it may not take a Win XP cd either, but I do not have a 98 cd or floppy. I did change the boot order to make sure that the cd-rom was listed first, but nothing happened, and also changed it to show the HDD drive first instead of the floppy. Any suggestions?
