Hi There.

Looking for your help to find a post to support a solution for the following problem or if you know the solution I could sure use your help.

I have a SCSI drive on a INI-9100UW pci card it boots fine.
I have 4 250GB HDD on the raid controller in raid 5 for storage.

I go into bios and set the INI-9100UW to boot as first device and the bios wont boot my scsi drive. "says missing NTL loader." Yet if I pull the power cables on the 4 drives the bios boots to the card no problem. I've also tried to disable the raid set in the 'hard drive' option so the bios only sees the INI-9100UW and that doesnt work either.

I get that the bios is looking to the intel controller for the boot file. How can I get the bios to change? Do I have to upgrade my bios?

Very frustrating.

Ideas?

thanks,

Got it. Sorry, windows 'does' boot fine from the scsi with out the sata drives pugged in.

I reviewed it again and it's asking me to reboot and specify boot media.. so I hit F8 key when the system boots, specify the INI-9100UW and it takes me to a screen that says reboot and specify boot media again. Also, I have the 'latest' bios for my board installed. It just seens that for whatever reason the bios is looking to the onboard raid first and won't change up the order.
