I tried to overclock my E6400 dual core 2.13 ghtz but it would either give me Mobo error beeps, boot up to bios screen then freeze (making me have to reset bios settings manually) . How do I fix this strange instability? I googled my mobo and cpu and it can overclock fine apparently. I upgraded my bios to v1401 (newest) and have a 450 XION power supply... Help??

your power supply is definetly going to be a weak link for overclocking your system

it takes a very good PSU like the antec TP3 650 watt like on this page to accomplish stable voltage while overclocking

beyond that you will burn something up as a result of erratic voltage produced by an undersized & low quality power supply like the Xion

read this guide several times and then prowl your bios looking for these settings you will need to change

after you are familiar with your bios give us a holler and we can help you begin yoru tweaking process
