hello

im an active OCer (and FOLDer) on many other OC Forums...
just to let you know im not a n00b @ all this, these are the stats of my main (bench) rig:

FX-57 @ 3504MHz (292x12) - DFI LP Ultra-D - - MachII - - G-Skill TCCD, 292 HTT @ 2.5,3,3,7 1:1
- X850 XT @ 670/640 - - DD Maze4 with 172w TEC - Mag3 - Caprice core - 14V TEC PSU
- OCZ 600W PSU

:deveous:

anyway, i have 2x new rigs set up (FOLDing "farm" rigs) and im having a *little* trouble setting them up...

they are based around :

Intel Pentium 4 630 3.0Ghz / 2MB Cache / 800 FSB / Socket 775 / HyperThreading / Processor with Fan

ASUS P5LD2-VM Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

GeIL 512MB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)

HERE is the thread over on OC forums.

these are my first intel rigs (ever) so im not entirely sure i know what im doing (but the settings arent *that* much different from the AMD's i know all too well)

anyway, no matter what i do (mem settings/ratio, voltages) i cant for the life of me get these to boot with a FSB >222. even @ 223, mem 1:1 all i get are spinning fans and a sleeping monitor :cussing:

if this were an AMD setup, id blame the BIOS and or on-board vid but since this is intel...ill reserve my judgment and ask those who know better than me.

thanks for any help

PS temps (load / FOLDing) are in the mid 30C's...these ThermalTake - Big Typhoons's are *really great* HSF!!!
(i was a ThermalTake hater B4 i tried these)

more info

the top rig has a Fortron 530w PSU with a 20 to 24 pin converter (one that actually has wires in the last 4 spots  )

the lower rig has a native 24 pin Antec 430w TP-2 PSU

both rigs are @ stock (default) voltage

both have 1 gig (2x sticks) of the memory in the 1st post

both are fully stable and running (FOLDing) @ 222 FSB (3.33GHz) 3:4 (296MHz) 3-4-4-10
they will also run (stable) : 222 FSB, 3:5 (369MHz) 4-4-4-12

(mem is rated: 3-4-4-10 @ 266 and 4-4-4-12 @ 333)

please feel free to ask for additional info!!
any suggestions / comments welcome!
