Hey,

I can't get my comp to pass POST when i've got 3 sticks of 512mb ddr 266. THere's only 3 slots, and the mobo is suppoesd to be able to handle 2 gb.. is that slot reserved for a 1gb stick (does a 1gb stick exist)? i'm building a couple of these systems for work, and it does the same thing on all of them. I've upgraded the bios to 1005 (latest) and it still does the same thing. Has this happend to anyone? does anyone know what it could be?

Peace,

.lim.

Hi lim and Welcome to the furom,

What kind of MB is it??? What kind of RAM did you get for it???

I would check to see if you got the correct kind of memory and run some test with a working PC to find out if the memory is bad.

On your motherboard, DDR sockets 2 & 3 share the same rows, so if you install a double-sided DIMM into DIMM2 socket, you must leave DIMM3 socket empty. (P4PE Manual page 2-11):winking:
