I've recently had a PC built which I have installed win XP on. It seems to work well, however I have a problem with the sound which keeps skipping for less than a second at random times especially whilst playing music mp3, cds, and during games.
I've disabled the onboard sound, used different media programs, and updated the creative drivers but it still does it. Are there any obvious things I could do to fix it?
my pc is:
Asus P4C800 deluxe
P4 3Ghz 800 fsb
512Mb RAM ddr 400
Asus V9560 /TD GeForce FX 5600
Creative Audigy 2
Realtek RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet NIC
Win XP sp1
