Help!!
I just bought the P4C800 Deluxe, and all is well .... except for the fact that when I try to install Windows XP (after I have press F6 during setup and loaded the driver) it tells me it can't install on an "Unknown Partition" and to go back and repartition the drive. I have done this over and over again in Windows setup, but it never lets me install on the Serial Raid..........what the heck is up?

You need to supply a lot more information that what you have posted.

System Specs.

How are your hard drives connected to the motherboard.

Are the Hard Drives SATA

More details please - is your SATA Raid activated in the bios? and is the enhanced mode set to s/ATA and p/ATA? what about system config and jumpers?

Well, I finally got Windows installed , seems a BIOS Upgrade (1010) did the trick. Sorry for not providing more info in my original post.

Here is a new one though....
For some reason, if I have my Maxtor 5000LE USB External Drive attached when I boot, it give me a Boot.ini message (can't read it, goes by to fast), and then tells me that HAL.DLL is missing or corrupted. If I un-attach the Drive and reboot, it boots into windows fine.

Would you know why it looks to the USB Drive when I boot? Possible an obsure setting in the BIOS I need to change?

Here's one thing you might want to look at.

Thanks for the help all, finally got the thing up and running, seems it was defaulting the Maxtor USB HD to the #1 boot spot, and all I had to do was switch it over.
